Caroline "Muffy" Tozzer Buchanan

Caroline "Muffy" (née Tozzer) Buchanan worked as a secretary for the Manhattan Project at Los Alamos.

She studied French, German, and Spanish at Middlebury College and graduated from Smith College in 1941. She went on to earn a master's degree in French from the University of New Hampshire in 1942. After graduating, she married James O. Buchanan on August 6th, 1942.

 

She died on August 20, 2010.
