National Museum of Nuclear Science & History

Carol Roberts moved to Hanford with her family in 1944 after her father was hired by DuPont to work as an electrician on the B Reactor. Before moving to Hanford, her family lived in Colorado.

Roberts is the author of the essay, “Modern Pioneers,” which focuses on the contributions women made to the Manhattan Project. She attended the University of Washington and enjoyed studying various subjects such as English and History.
