On Thursday, October 18, 2012, the Atomic Heritage Foundation led a group of fifteen visitors from around the country on a behind the scenes tour of the Los Alamos National Laboratory. We were invited to tour the Nicholas C. Metropolis Center for Modeling and Simulation.

House Majority Votes in Favor of Manhattan Project Park Act

On September 20, a majority of members of the House of Representatives voted in favor of the Manhattan Project National Historical Park Act, H.R. 5987. However, the bill failed to receive the two-thirds majority necessary to pass under suspension of House rules.

On August 14, the Atomic Heritage Foundation released an upgraded and expanded edition of its Guide to the Manhattan Project in New Mexico. Originally published in 2010, AHF completely sold out of the initial print run. Thanks to a generous grant from Clay and Dorothy Perkins, AHF is publishing a new, revised edition of its popular guide.
