Robley "Rob" Johnson arrived at Hanford on May 2, 1943, at the age of 35. He was one of the first repersentatives of the DuPont Company on the scene. He came from Gopher Ordnance Works, a powder plant near St. Paul. At Hanford, Johnson supervised DuPont's photo crew and worked at the 200 Area. The War Department photographs of Hanford released after Hiroshima and Nagasaki were his, although he was not directly credited.
