Thomas O. Jones volunteered to join the Army before the start of WWII. As the war began to unfold in Europe, Jones was placed in a sub-organization of the Army called the Counterintelligence Corps.
Chancellor Bramblett worked for the Tennessee Eastman Corporation at the Y-12 Plant.
G. M. Shifley worked for the J.A. Jones Construction Company.
Eleanor Blanchard served as a sergeant in the Women’s Auxiliary Corps during World War II. She worked as a typist at Los Alamos during the Manhattan Project and also operated the switchboard for the Tech Area.
